What does the audit check?
57 checks across six areas: basic document markup (doctype, charset, language, favicon, 404, robots.txt, sitemap), on-page SEO (title, meta description, H1, canonical, indexability, AI search access), content and media (including image dimensions), links, speed (TTFB, render-blocking scripts) and security (HTTPS, redirects, mixed content, security headers). One check can produce several results, so the report shows a higher number of tests.
How long does a check take?
Usually a few seconds: the page is fetched once and everything else happens on our side. For a sitemap or a bulk list, part of the audits run immediately and the rest go into a background queue.
Why did the audit fail?
The most common reason is that the site did not respond in time: each request gets 10 seconds. That happens with slow hosting, so it is worth trying again. An audit will also fail if the page is password-protected, returns an error, or blocks automated requests.
What do I do with the result?
Issues are sorted by severity: major first, then moderate and minor. Each one explains why it hurts search and what exactly to change. Start from the top — major issues pull the score down the most.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. The report is written in plain language: every item says what is wrong and what to change. Some fixes need access to the page code or server settings — you can hand those over to a developer as a ready task list.
How many checks are available without an account?
Guests get 10 audits per month and results are kept for 3 days. An account removes those limits and adds change history, scheduled re-checks and notifications.
Can I audit other people's websites?
Yes, any publicly available page — including competitors or client sites. The page is fetched with a single ordinary request and is not modified in any way.
Are the results stored?
Yes. Every audit gets its own link, and re-running a check on the same page archives the previous version — so you can see what was fixed and what has appeared since.
